# Inviting members and roles (Owner, Admin, Developer, Viewer)

> Invite members to your organization, change or remove their roles, and what each of the four roles can do.

## Required role and plan

- **Invite, change roles, remove**: Admin or higher (only an Owner can invite, change or remove Owners)
- **View the audit log**: Admin or higher
- **Plan**: Free allows up to 3 members, including pending invitations. Unlimited on Starter and above

## What each role can do

| Role | Can do |
| --- | --- |
| Owner | Everything an Admin can, plus plans and billing, deleting projects and the organization, inviting and changing Owners, and requiring SSO |
| Admin | Everything a Developer can, plus inviting members and changing roles, creating projects, renaming the organization, alert settings, the audit log, and SSO settings |
| Developer | Manage customers, endpoints, sources, event types and API keys, send tests and retries, and issue customer portal links |
| Viewer | Read only |

## Invite members

1. Open Settings → Members and select Invite members.
2. Enter Email addresses. Separate them with commas or new lines to invite several people.
3. Choose a Role and select Send invitations.
4. Invited people join from the link in the email, signed in with the invited address.

People who have not joined yet are shown as Invited and can be removed with Cancel invitation. If an invitation expires, invite them again.

## Change a role or remove a member

- Change a role in the role column of the member list.
- Remove from organization takes away that member’s access.
- The last Owner cannot be changed or removed.

## Check the audit log

Settings → Audit log shows changes to endpoints, API keys, members, plans, sources and more (time, who, what and target).

Besides setting changes, it records viewing signing secrets, recoveries, issuing customer portal links (Issued customer portal link) and SSO settings.
