Add an alert channel
- Open Alerts in the menu and select + Add channel.
- Under Send to, choose Slack, Teams, Chatwork, Email or Webhook.
- Enter the destination (Incoming Webhook URL, Workflows URL, “room ID:API token”, email address or destination URL). See How to get each URL or token in the dialog.
- Optionally enter a Display name, and under Applies to choose the whole organization or one project.
- Select Add, then select Send test in the list to check that alerts arrive.
Webhook alerts are signed (webhook-signature). Verify them with the Webhook signing secret shown on the page (visible to Admin or higher).
Developers and Viewers do not see + Add channel or Delete, and alert conditions are view-only for them (Developers can still use Send test).
Alert conditions
There is one set of conditions per organization, shared by all channels. Turn each condition on or off and choose its threshold.
| Condition | When it alerts | Thresholds |
|---|---|---|
| Failed deliveries | At the time you choose, and when retries run out. At most once an hour per endpoint | Right away, after 5 minutes, 15 minutes or 1 hour |
| Endpoint disabled | An endpoint was disabled after failing for 5 days | — |
| Retry backlog | An environment has more messages waiting to retry than you choose (once a day) | 100, 1,000 or 10,000 |
| Monthly usage | This month’s messages pass the share of your limit you choose | 50%, 80% or 100% |
| Polling endpoint not polled | No one has polled a polling endpoint for the time you choose | 1, 6, 24 or 72 hours |
Delete an alert channel
- Select Delete on the channel.
- Select Delete in the confirmation dialog.
