Filter messages
- Open Messages in the menu.
- Choose a status tab (All, Succeeded, Retrying, Failed, No endpoint).
- Search by message ID (
msg_), event, customer ID or Idempotency-Key, or filter by event, customer and time range (last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, all time). - Open the details with the button at the end of the row.
With All projects selected, Messages shows live messages across projects and can be filtered by project. The top of the screen shows Sent (24 h), success rate, retrying and failed.
What each status means
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Succeeded | Delivered (for webhooks, the endpoint returned 2xx). |
| Retrying | The attempt failed and is waiting for the next retry. |
| Failed | All retries were used up. |
| Pending | Not delivered yet. |
| No endpoint | No endpoint matched when the message was accepted, so it was not delivered. Adding an endpoint later does not deliver it, and it does not count toward the monthly limit. |
| Cancelled | For example, a transformation cancelled the delivery. Not counted as a failure. |
Message details
- Message ID, customer, status, attempts, next retry, endpoint, source IP, created time and Idempotency-Key
- Attempts for each endpoint (time, status code, error, duration)
- Payload (copy it with Copy payload; large payloads show only the beginning)
Attempts shows the attempt count and the maximum, such as 3 / 8. The maximum is the number of attempts, including the first, allowed by the endpoint’s current retry settings (8 by default; 4 with 3 retries). After manual retries go past the maximum, or for a deleted endpoint, only the count is shown.
Messages received through a source link to that source.
Send a test
- Select + Send test in Messages.
- Choose an Endpoint and Event type, then select Send.
- The result appears in Messages.
Test sends do not count toward the monthly limit and are limited to 1,000 a day per environment. The API example button in Messages shows how to send with the API.
